Republican To-Do List

OK Republicans, you've just won a sweeping victory in last week's mid-term elections. Now what are you going to do ?

On November 2nd, the Republican Party was very successful in the midterm elections at both the State and National levels. Republican Rob Portman replaced George Voinovich (who retired) as our Senator. Steven C. LaTourette was re-elected as our Representative to Congress... along with so many other Republicans that the Republican Party now has majority control of the House of Representatives. Representative John Boehner from Ohio will replace Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House in January. President Obama addressed the nation on Wednesday, November 3rd- and admitted that his Democratic party had taken "a shellacking", and that the people had spoken loud and clear. Without a Democratic majority any longer, President Obama will have to work more towards the middle in cooperation with Republicans on those domestic issues that he has promised action on. (Economy, Jobs, Immigration, Health Care, Education)

In Ohio, the governorship was won by Republican challenger John Kasich who arrives with his own list of things to end, things to change, and things to begin for Ohio.

As "the people" what do you want our Republican led government to focus on in the next two years ? What "changes" do you want to see ? What do you expect the new government to accomplish in 2 years... in order to be rewarded with re-election?

This discussion will run through Sunday, November 14th.
